PlayStation has unveiled an exciting lineup of new titles for the PS VR2. The PlayStation Blog announced four intriguing titles coming to the PS VR2, along with an announcement trailer for each title; however, no release date was specified. The lineup of announced PS VR2 titles includes Tiger Blade, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate, Pixel Ripped 1995, and The 7th Guest VR.
Interestingly, Sony took an unconventional approach by opting not to host a dedicated event or announce these titles during the recent PlayStation Showcase. Instead, they decided to release the information in a rather unexpected manner. Here is an overview of all four titles that have been announced.
Tiger Blade
Tiger Blade brings to PS VR2 an adrenaline-fueled combat of the best of Korean neo-noir action cinema. The game is set in an alternate Korea, and you take on the role of an assassin working for the Tiger Clans’ Horangi chapter. The story requires you to steal a mysterious package from a rival chapter. Surprisingly, the target of the heist is a tiger cub thought to be extinct for a century.
Tiger Blade features a scoring and ranking system, online leaderboards, speedrunning, and secondary objectives. Furthermore, the game has haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and headset rumble to heighten heart-pounding action further.
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate is a remake of the critically acclaimed time travel adventure Wanderer which was a roaring success and became an instant classic when it launched last year. The remake follows a revolutionary time travel adventure that has been completely reimagined for the next generation of VR.
The game will have you travel back in time to rewrite history and change the future, plunging you into thrilling historical stories in an epic time travel adventure unlike any other. Furthermore, the game comes with improved visuals and exciting new features and gameplay.
In a nutshell, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate will carefully blend thought-provoking themes with a balanced heart, action, and creative puzzles.
Pixel Ripped 1995
The Pixel Ripped 1995 is yet another time travel adventure that blends nostalgia with an emotional and relatable story. The title is a bizarre adventure that will take the virtual hero Dot on an adventure to restore balance across various dimensions.
The in-game quest features a variety of games, each created as a loving homage to 16-bit and 32-bit classics, all set within an immersive virtual reality world. In addition, for its PS VR2 debut, Pixel Ripped 1995 will leave the constraints of 60fps behind and will feature 120fps.
The 7th Guest VR
The 7th Guest VR is an interactive puzzle adventure reminiscent of the early days of the decade. This particular title brings back the 90’s nostalgia. The 7th Guest VR is a remake of the original game that features 3D live-action graphics with brand-new puzzles and new areas to explore.
The PS VR2 will take the supernatural mystery experience to a whole new level by allowing you to delve into the intricate details, making it a fantastic reimagining of a trailblazing title.
The official PlayStation Blog further goes into detail about each announced title for the PS VR2.
