Paper is one of the crucial resources in V Rising as it allows one to research new recipes for items, structures, and gear items. Players would have to use paper at the Research Station to unlock the recipe for one of the new items and later they would be able to craft the unlocked recipe at the particular workstation.
As paper doesn’t come in big chunks like the rest of the loot in the game, players would have to search for them in various locations in all of the Vardoran World Map. However, Paper can also be crafted at your Castle but you will require a workstation named Paper Press.
How to Unlock Paper Press
Paper Press is one of the Refinement Workstations that players can place it in the territory of their Castle. Paper Press is used to craft Paper, Scrolls, and Schematics which all are used for Research. In order to unlock the advance recipes of the items, you will have to use all of these three materials at the required research Table. In order to unlock the Paper Press, you will be needing its Blueprint which can be obtained from V Blood named Nicholaus the Fallen. He is a Level 35 V Blood Boss located in the Forgotten Cemetery in Farbane Woods region.
Note: Nicholaus the Fallen has been lowered down from Level 37 to Level 35 in the new Secrets of Gloomrot Update. He will no longer unlock the Study Research Table Blueprint instead he will unlock the Paper Press Blueprint.
With the new update, players will no longer have to use Scrolls to research the Blueprint of Paper Press to unlock it. They simply need to track down Nicholaus the Fallen and defeat him in a boss fight to unlock the Paper Press Blueprint.
How to Build Paper Press
After unlocking the Paper Press Blueprint, you would be able to build it inside the territory of your castle. Building of Paper Press would require the following resources.
- 12x Plank
- 12x Copper Ingot
Planks can be made in Sawmill Workstation by using Wood and Copper Ingot can be made in Furnace by using Copper Ores. Sawmill and Furnace are both early game workstations so, it is not difficult to get the required resources for Paper Press. Once you have the resources, follow the following steps to build the Paper Press.
- Open the Build Mode by pressing the B Key.
- Go to the Refinement Tab and select the Paper Press.
- Place the Paper Press in the required space to build it.
You will be able to craft Paper, Scrolls, and Schematics on Paper Press Workstation.
How to Get Paper
Paper can be obtained by the two following methods:
- From Enemies and Chests.
- Crafting at Paper Press
Most of the enemies will drop Paper in the early region of the game but in order to gain more Paper, you can visit the Bandit Camp, Bandit Outpost, Bandit Stronghold, Bandit Logging Camp, Bandit Trapper Camp in the Farbane Woods region. Make sure to loot the chests in these locations to get more Paper.
To craft the Paper in Paper Press, you will be needing the following resources.
- 4x Plant Fiber
- 12x Sawdust
Plant Fiber is obtained by cutting down flowers or grass and Sawdust is obtained from Sawmill while making Planks.
