As everyone knows, summoning the bosses in Terraria is a challenging task. You need to do some tricky things to make these bosses appear. The Guide Voodoo Doll is required to summon the Wall of Flesh in Terraria, but the game doesn’t explain how to get it.
To get the Voodoo Doll in Terraria, you have to summon and defeat Voodoo Daemons. These are rare enemies that are living in The Underworld. After defeating them, they always drop the doll.

Guide Voodoo Doll
The Guide Voodoo Doll is a special item that’s used to summon the Wall of Flesh boss in Terraria. It is related to the Guide NPC in the game. If you want to summon the Wall of Flesh, you must throw the Voodoo Doll into the lava in The Underworld. As soon as the lava destroys the Doll, the guide will be killed instantly, and the boss will emerge.
You can carry multiple Dolls, up to a maximum number of 9,999. If you throw more than one doll into the lava, the Guide will be destroyed as planned, thus summoning the Boss. Additionally, the same number of randomly chosen NPCs in the world will be killed equal to the number of Dolls you have thrown into the lava.
Throwing multiple dolls and killing NPCs doesn’t give any special events or rewards. So it’s better not to do it.
Getting the Voodoo Doll
To acquire the Voodoo Doll, you have to locate and defeat Voodoo Demons in the Underworld. These enemies will always drop the Guide Voodoo Guide when you defeat them.
The enemies in the Underworld look quite similar to regular Demon enemies, but they have distinct features such as, there is a doll hanging from their talons, as you can see in the picture above.
The Voodoo Deemon is rare and doesn’t appear as often as regular demons, so you may need to be patient for them to show up. When you defeat a Voodoo Demon, be cautious. Because if they drop the Voodoo Doll directly into the lave, it will unwillingly summon the Wall of Flesh Boss. Make sure no doll is accidentally thrown into the lava if you are not ready to fight.
Farming Voodoo Doll
Below are some tips to keep in mind while farming a Voodoo Doll
- Look for a big open area in The Underworld instead of small openings.
- If you want to prevent the doll from falling into the lava, you have to build a straight path or cover each lava pit around you. This platform can also perform as a battleground to fight the boss.
- It will be easy for you if you have a summon ready for help.
- If you want to boost the enemy spawn rate, Place a Water Candle in the area. And using a battle potion will also attract more enemies in the area.
- Stand in the middle and let the enemies come toward you, Eventually, the Voodoo Demon will appear, so ensure to defeat them above the platform.
