Ubisoft is slowly returning to Steam, and the next titles to arrive on the service are Roller Champions and Immortals Fenyx Rising. They will be released next week on December 13th and 15th, respectively.
Ubisoft largely abandoned Steam in 2019 in favor of its store and exclusivity with the Epic Games Store, which launched The Division 2. The most notable interaction between Ubisoft and Steam recently was the publisher shutting down online features for many of its older games at the beginning of last month.
However, last month Ubisoft confirmed that they would be returning to Steam and released Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the service on December 6th, which is the perfect time to do so as the game recently received its final chapter update. More games followed it from the publisher, such as RTS Anno. Although next week, we will be receiving Immortals Fenyx Rising and Roller Champions on Steam.
Immortals Fenyx Rising, originally known as Gods and Monsters, is an action-adventure game released two years ago. It tells the story of the mortal Fenyx who, to save their brother, must stop the evil Typhon after he escapes from the underworld. The version of the game that will be released on Steam is the Gold Edition with the Season Pass. The pass includes three narrative DLC drops: New God, Myths of the Eastern Empire, and Lost Gods; it also includes the When the Road Gets Rocky bonus quest and other digital content.
As for Roller Champions, it’s a free-to-play team sports PVP game released back in May where you battle and roll around arenas. Players can reach speeds of up to 100 miles per hour, wall skate, and sink in front of a stadium. As a Roller Champion, players can compete in a three-on-three team. The goal is to take the ball and make a round while maintaining team possession, dodging opponents, and scoring.
