Many players have encountered various weather conditions in Genshin Impact and may have grown fond of the gentle and persistent rain as they enjoy the background music.
The rain in Genshin Impact imparts the Wet effect on characters and adversaries, which can be leveraged in different elemental reactions for heightened damage against particular opponents (e.g., Vaporize, Bloom, Electro-charged). It can also be used to weaken Pyro adversaries.
So, is it possible to make it rain in Genshin Impact? As of now, there is no guaranteed method to deliberately induce rain in the world of Teyvat (Genshin’s map). Rain can occur randomly during your adventures. Nonetheless, there are certain locations in Teyvat where you may experience incessant rain (until you meet a specific condition). One such place is Yashiori Island, nestled within the Inazuma region of the map.
A potential method exists to trigger rain or even a thunderstorm; while not entirely reliable, some players have found it to work.
Note: The efficacy of this method is not well-documented. Try it out and share your experiences in the comments section.
- Open the Paimon Menu and click the Time button.
- An interactive menu will appear, allowing you to skip the time forward (this feature is handy for waiting for specific quests).
- Use this menu to advance the time by a few hours as demonstrated in the image below, and then click “Confirm.”
After the fast-forward animation concludes, exit the menu and check the sky. If it appears sunny, you may need to repeat the process until you observe clouds. To stop the rain, open the Time menu, advance the time by a few hours (similarly to the aforementioned method), and repeat as necessary until the rain ceases.
