To continue Millicent’s story in Elden Ring, The Tarnished have to locate and give her the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis, which is a unique artificial arm found in the castle.
In Elden Ring, after Tarnished cures Millicent of Scarlet Rot, players require the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis to progress through the story. They’ll meet her again in Altus Platuea, where she will express her inability to fight because she lost her sword arm. You have to solve the puzzle and give her Valkyrie’s Prosthesis to solve this issue.
To find the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis, reach the Shaded Castle, a castle that’s filled with poison. It’s found in the north of the Atlus Plateau. To get there, go north in the valley located between Mt.Gelmir and the eastern part of the Altus Plateau. If you are taking the road of Iniquity in the North, you can safely jump down from the cliff on the Spiritsspring Jump across the trail from the Old Altus Tunnel.
When you reach the Shaded Castle, you’ll not be able to use Torrent anymore, making it difficult to avoid the poison swamp. So, it’s a good idea to have a Netrulizing Boluses or the Cure Poison Incantation ready. The Valkyrie’s Prosthesis is hidden in a chest located in the northeast tower of the Castle. You don’t need to defeat the Elmeer of the Briar, to get the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis.
Valkyrie’s Prosthesis Location
To acquire the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis in Elden Ring, the Tarnished has to reach the northwest tower present in the left corner of the Shaded Castle. To obtain this item, players have to climb a tall ladder that will lead them to the rampart on the left outer ward. If the player is entering from the west, they need to jump across the roof of a building that is sunken down, and then cross the swamp. Players coming from the south must overcome poisonous slugs and corrupted enemies.
Once the player is at the top of the wall, take left toward the tower, going through zombie-type enemies. But there will be a strong Knight guarding the tower’s door. So, you have to defeat the Knight before going ahead.
After acquiring the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis, go back to Millicent who is at the Erdtree-Gazing Hill, and give her the new Valkyrie’s Prosthesis to continue her story. Later on in the story, you will see her again in Windmill Village, located to the North.
