The Half-Orc Race coming in Baldur’s Gate 3 demonstrates that this race is tanky and can deal with a high amount of damage whereas at the same time, they can also deal a lot of damage to their enemies.
Race Features
Choosing this race will have its advantages and features, here are the features you get for choosing the Half-Orc Race:
- Base Racial Speed: your base movement speed is 9m
- Darkvision: You can see in the dark up to 12m
- Relentless Endurance: If you reach 0 hit points, you regain 1 hit point instead of becoming Downed.
- Savage Attacks: The Half-Orc’s critical hit ability is very powerful, whenever you hit a crit instead of doubling your damaging it triples.
Choosing Your Class
Considering the feature you get with the Half-Orc race you should really consider choosing one of the classes below:
Barbarian: In this class, you can use rage to become very strong in terms of fighting the enemies and having a great chance of winning your fights which can also follow up with subclass Berserker which also increases your DPS (damage per second)
Paladin: You can also choose the Paladin class that offers you a shiny armor with light to reflect on, although it is beautiful, the most interesting thing about this class is that its radiant damage makes it very effective against undead enemies, you are actually very effective against the undead (Ghouls, Zombies, Wraiths, Vampires, Ghosts, etc). For the subclasses you can choose according to your personal preference however, the Oaths of the Ancients is a pretty good subclass considering it’s healing.
