The Waterblight Ganon is one of the four boss characters of Calamity Ganon in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. This Waterblight Ganon attacked the large mechanical elephant named Vah Ruta, leading to the defeat of the Champion Mipha.
Location
The Waterblight Ganon can be found inside the big mechanical elephant called Vah Ruta, situated in a location known as the East Reservoir Lake in the Lanayru region.
How to get there
To reach this location, you need to undertake a series of tasks assigned by the Zora people living in that area. Once you reach the location, you will engage in a battle with the Waterblight Ganon as part of the storyline.
Battle
At the start of the fight, The Waterblight Ganon wields a massive spear, using it to attack and even throwing it towards you. The Ganon employs various moves, such as stabbing, swinging the spear in a circle, or slamming it on the ground to create shockwaves.
There are different ways to damage the monster, including using various weapons (arrows and spears work well), especially targeting the monster’s eye, dealing critical damage, and potentially stunning him.
Weakness (Eye and Horns):
The Cryonis Rune is crucial in this battle. By using Cryonis to place an ice block between yourself and The Water Ganon, you can block his attacks and shatter his spear. This forces him to teleport to a new location and reassemble the spear, providing an opportunity to strike the monster.
Phase 2
After the Ganon reaches the half-health mark, Second phase of the battle will begin.
The water level will rise, and the whole arena will submerge. The Ganon will summon 4 platforms that you can use in the battle. The Ganon will teleport around the area, stopping above different platforms.
He will create ice blocks and throw them towards you. You can destroy them with the help of Cryonis or you can use the bow.
