Haven is said to be the most challenging map for the defending team as it has three sites, unlike any other map in the game. While the defending team struggles to defend all the sites by dividing the players among each location, the attacking team has an advantage in the game. Two of the sites may be protected by two players each, but at least one is left with just a single player guarding it, making the game complicated for defenders and requiring strategic planning to deal with the attacking team.
While the difficulty of this map is exhausting, one way you can secure a door of success is by playing with the famous agent, Omen. Here’s everything you need to know for playing defense on the Haven map.
Omen on Haven
Omen’s kit has teleport powers and the power to blind your opponent. It gives the perfect advantage on Haven as Omen’s smoke can completely blindsight the attackers, making it easy for you to take your shot on the attackers. If well utilized, the teleporting power can help you escape to turn the tide on the attackers.
If you ever face the attackers as Omen, use the strategies mentioned below to prevail.
How Do You Defend All the Sites in Haven?
Defending Site A
The detailing in the game has not been fully realized, as many features go unnoticed. One of those features is Haven’s trademark verticality. The players can use the verticality of the map to get to advantageous positions. Taking a shot from these points may cause the opponent to flick their aim towards you, as they will be paranoid about being attacked from above.
You can use this ability to your advantage when defending A Site. Throw a smoke on top of the two stacked boxes near A Short to create a one-way smoke, which will allow you to see the enemies but they will not be able to see you.
Alternatively, you can climb up on the stacked boxes and throw a smoke to blind yourself. This will allow you to move around undetected by the enemies. However, make sure that no enemies are waiting in A Short, or they will kill you when you come out of the smoke.
Defending Site B
The key to securing the B Site is to block the view from the Mid Window as the attacking team has the most advantage there. Use Omen’s Dark Cover ability to smoke the window and the bottom so the opponents cannot charge through it. Smoking in the area will allow you and your team to get to B Site safely.
You also might want to smoke the C Link Doorway so that the enemies cannot get to the Site without being sighted.
Defending Site C
Defending the C Site requires the Omen to use Dark Cover Ability to smoke C Long and C Garage Site. This puts the defending team at an advantage because the attackers will not be able to sight the C Site from a distance, but they will have to close in. Knowing the enemy is standing behind the smoke, waiting for them to fall into the trap, they will hesitate to enter the Site.
Conclusion
Playing Omen on Haven demands strategic positioning and clever ability usage to benefit your team. You can gain a significant strategic advantage against attackers by practicing these abilities. Armed with these insights, you’re ready to return to the game and dominate your match with these effective defensive strategies.
