It has been almost a decade since the release of the immensely popular Teslagrad. The game sold over 2 million copies at the time, and it appears that it was not the series’ final installment. Yesterday, The Nintendo Indie World Showcase revealed that a sequel to Teslagrad would be released soon. It turns out it was sooner than ever!
Rain Games announced today on Twitter that Teslagrad 2 is now available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, with a surprise addition of Teslagrad Remastered as well.
The Teslagrad Remastered is simply an enhanced version of the original game that comes with the addition of several bonus levels and improved visuals. The game developers said that the Teslagrad Remastered would not feature any drastic changes. The sequel, on the other hand, is a whole new experience.
The Teslagrad 2 follows the themes of the original game and is centered around electromagnetism. The game will have you rely on your electromagnetic powers to survive the odds and dangers of the untamed land. Be it the peculiar puzzles, striking visuals, or amazing lore, Teslagrad 2 has it all.
The official launch trailer provides a sneak peek at the game and teases the surreal dangers and long-lost treasures to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
The trailer reveals the protagonist, Lumina, and glimpses of her journey home. To make it through the wildlands richly inspired by Nordic folklore, she will have to defeat Viking raiders and face gruesome beasts to make it through.
