Call of Duty’s new Warzone Season is in play and along with the latest major update, there are also new additions to the DMZ mode of Call of Duty which has been one of the most played and loved modes in Call of Duty. The new update brings new content for the players to enjoy in DMZ mode and the main new addition is the Underground Tunnels beneath the very map of Al Mazrah. These tunnels are used to smuggle goods and firepower and they are known as Smuggling Tunnels.
In this guide, we will tell you the location of the Smuggling Tunnels and how to complete the Smuggling Tunnels Mission.
Navigating the Smuggling Tunnels: Access Points and Strategies
The Smuggling Tunnels can be found in between Zarqwa Hydroelectric and Al Mazrah City areas. It is located on the northern side of the Al Mazrah map under the E3 section. There are three different entrances in this area from which players can choose any one they see fit. As the Smuggling Tunnels are used for secret operations of smuggling goods, the tunnels and their surroundings will be highly guarded by the AI units. Players will not be able to enter into the tunnels without a fight so, make sure to bring a decent loadout to take out the enemies before you gain access to the Smuggling Tunnels.
Speaking of gaining access to the tunnels, there are three different ways you can enter Smuggling Tunnels.
- The first entrance to the tunnels in the north is reached by going through a well on the opposite side of the main road. It’s a bit hidden by a few walls, but a quick look around will help you find it.
- The Smuggling Tunnels hideout has a small house with a ladder inside that you can use to get into the location.
- Another way into the tunnels is through a big entrance in the south. This entrance can be hard to spot because of the trees and bushes around it, so be careful not to miss it.
There is also a chance that the Smuggling Tunnels location might become a Stronghold Point during the match. If this happens, players will have to gain a Stronghold Key. The Stronghold Key can be bought from the Buy Station as well as can be obtained by killing a heavily armored AI Unit near the Stronghold location. Make sure to get the Stronghold Key and use it to enter the Smuggling Tunnels.
How to Complete the Smuggling Tunnels Mission in Call of Duty: DMZ Mode
The Smuggling Tunnels mission is an exclusive Tier 2 challenge for the White Lotus Faction. There are three objectives in total that players will have to complete in the same deployment to complete the mission.
- Enter the Smuggling Tunnels.
- Place 2 Tactical Cameras at different Entrances of the tunnels.
- Extract.
Before deploying into the DMZ mode, team up with the squad and make sure to equip the Tactical Cameras in your Loadout, same for your team. By doing this, you will not have to look for Tactical Cameras inside the Smuggling Tunnels which can save you a lot of time.
Deploy in DMZ mode and gain access to the Smuggling Tunnels by taking out the AI units. Clear the AI units inside the Smuggling Tunnels as well, and as you enter, place the Tactical Camera in the direction of the entrance.
NOTE: If you place the camera in the wrong direction, it will not mark the objective and you cannot pick up the camera once it is deployed.
There are 5 entrances to the Smuggling Tunnels, but you only need to place Tactical Cameras at 2 of them. After placing the cameras, start looting the tunnels for valuable gear. Once you and your party have finished looting, head to the Extraction Point. Extracting is often the most difficult part of the mission, as many players camp at the extraction sites to kill other players and take their loot. Be careful of these “rats” and secure your six to successfully extract and complete the Smuggling Tunnels mission.
Most of the players in the lobbies camp at the extraction site to kill the players who are coming to extract their loot.
That is all related to Smuggling Tunnels in Call of Duty: DMZ Mode.
