Within the ‘Octave of the Maushiro‘ questline on Tsurumi Island, players will come across an enigmatic puzzle engraved on stone walls. This quest will occur on Tsurumi Island and is the second part of the “Through the Mists” World quest. Upon conversing with ‘Ruu,’ players will obtain an item named the Peculiar Pinion.
Solving the Mystery of The Stones
Use the Peculiar Pinion on the Thunderbird Statue to the left of the inscribed stone formation.
This action spawns an Electro-Seelie, which players should follow. This Seelie will take you to the next Thunderbird Statue.
Use the Peculiar Pinion again on this Thunderbird Statue. This will cause glowing markings to appear on the wall of a cliff.
Remember the pattern of symbols on the wall, then return to the location of the inscribed stones.
Solve the puzzle by striking each stone in line with the pattern of symbols previously seen on the wall.
Upon successful puzzle completion, an illusion guides the Traveler to another location. Multiple stone puzzles can be found on the Tsurumi Island. While a few puzzles contain unique twists, most can be resolved using similar methods. If the puzzle isn’t quest-related, The chest spawned will reward you with a stone slate. Players need to collect seven of them in total to receive two luxurious chests, So players shouldn’t skip the puzzles.
