MultiVesus has finally released patch 1.05, adding the famed DC antihero, Black Adam, to coincide with the movie’s release. The other significant addition in this patch is the release of two new game modes: Arcade Mode and Silly Queue.

Black Adam is on the horizon and we've officially hit Maintenance Mode! We'll be back in action at approx 10am pt, but join us for a first look at the new Icon at 9:30am pt! #MultiVersus #BlackAdam https://t.co/drv1ZqlwHZ

The release of Black Adam in the game is well-timed with The Rock’s movie. After he was announced months ago in August, players finally have the chance to experience their beloved antihero. You can also purchase a different outfit for him, based on his classic costume, for 800 gleamium. This skin will net you additional candy during the game’s Halloween event.

Patch 1.05 for the game also includes Arcade Mode, which is currently an alpha test in this version. Arcade Mode will pair you and a friend together as you battle against various bosses from the game’s characters, which all come in a trio. Players can select three difficulty options for the mode, and completing each will reward players with either a blonde, silver, or gold star. You can then show off these stars in the game’s character select screen. WB Games also states that this is just the start of the mode and that they’ll be adding various new features to it in the future.

This latest update also introduces a silly queue; the mode description promises to let players take a break from competitive play and enjoy some “unbridled chaos.” This mode is more casual, with some modifiers to spice things up a bit, starting with three. One is the growth boost, which increases significantly as the fighter takes damage. So players can participate in rough battles while taking damage.

In the update, players will also find new Tune Squad Space Jam-inspired outfits for the BMO Announcer Pack Bugs Bunny and Taz, and a long list of balances that affect the 18 characters in the MultiVersus roster. You can read the full patch notes here.
