Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is the latest expansion for Rise, the newest entry in the famous Monster Hunter franchise. While it may not be as popular as Capcom’s other games, such as Mega Man 11, which recently became the best-selling Mega Man game of all time, it’s still a very popular franchise with a massive following in Japan. Over recent years it’s also been becoming popular worldwide, with Capcom releasing expansions for their latest games and updating their titles with content regularly, such as Rise’s Title Update 3.

Title 3’s free update sees three big new beasts to battle. These are Chaotic Gore Magala, Risen Teostra, and Risen Kushala Daora, who you can battle alongside your squadmates. Gore Magala can shed her skin and transform into Shagaru Magala, but you should be aware of a bug that can leave her in a hybrid state, Chaotic Gore Magala. It would be best if you were MR10 to fight this fight, but more significant challenges await Risen Teostra and Kushala Daora, requiring immediate response from the Coalition’s most experienced hunters. The Risen forms allow them to create even more widespread destruction in their enraged states, and you’ll need to be MR120 and MR140 to fight them.

In addition, there are new quests A7★ Anomaly with Flaming Espinas, Scorned Magnamalo, and Seething Bazelgeuse. The Anomaly Investigation system has a higher level cap of 200, although you can also find down-level quests you already have. Materials from these can be used to upgrade weapons and armor with the “Defense” and “Skill” upgrades.

Lastly, after this update, you can take your followers on almost any master quest, including anomaly and investigation quests. As for the next updates for the game, Capcom has confirmed that they plan to release Title Update 4 in Winter 2023 and Title Update 5 in Spring 2023.

Title Update 3 releases on November 24th, 2022, for PC and Nintendo Switch.
