Gunfire Reborn combines FPS, RPG, and roguelite features to craft an intriguing cooperative gameplay for up to four players. Since its launch in 2020, the game has expanded across various platforms, sparking the question: is it cross-platform?
The game offers partial cross-platform support. Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC gamers from the Microsoft Store enjoy cross-play functions, allowing them to join forces seamlessly. This feature also extends to Xbox Game Pass subscribers since October 2022.
On the other hand though, Steam users face a limitation—they can only connect with fellow Steam gamers, isolated from Xbox and Microsoft Store players.
Mobile gamers aren’t left out, as iOS and Android versions support cross-play exclusively between them, maintaining separation from PC and console segments.
As the game landscape evolves, we’ll deliver fresh updates, ensuring players are informed on where and how they can team up with friends, regardless of their chosen platform.
TL;DR
- Gunfire Reborn offers cross-play, but with limitations:
- Xbox & Windows PC (Microsoft Store): Full cross-play between each other, including Xbox Game Pass users.
- Steam: Isolated, no cross-play with Xbox or Microsoft Store.
- Mobile (iOS & Android): Cross-play between each other only, separate from PC and console.
