Haunter is an evolved form of the Gastly Pokemon in the game Pokemon Legends Arceus. Haunter is a Ghost/Poison Type Pokemon, that has been featured in the lineup of many Pokemon Games. It features a Purple Body, has pointed ears, and a demonic look on its face. In this guide, we’ll explain how to find Haunter in Pokemon Legends Arceus and how to evolve it further into Gengar.
How to catch Haunter
Haunter, being a Ghost-Type Pokemon, only appears at night. Here are some places where you can catch Gastly and Haunter:
Gastly and Haunter can be found in Golden Lowlands, Gapejaw Bog, Scarlet Bog, Shrouded Ruins, and Cottonsedge Prairie area in the Crimson Mirelands region.
In the Coronet Highlands region, you can also find Haunter and Gastly at Bolderoll Ravine, Sacred Plaza, and Celestica Ruins.
Additionally, Haunter and Gastly can be found in the BoneChill Wastes of Alabaster Icelands.
We strongly recommend you catch Haunter instead of Gastly if you want to evolve it into Gengar because it will save you from the hassle of evolving Gastly first into Haunter and then Gengar, but if you want to have the whole experience, Gastly will evolve into Haunter once it reaches Level 25
How to Evolve Haunter into Gengar
In Pokemon Legend Arceus you can trade Haunter with a friend and trigger its evolution into Gengar just like the previous titles of Pokemon games. Additionally, if you do not want to go with the Trade-Holding method you can try other methods.
Linking Cord Method
A Linking Cord is an item that is required to evolve Haunter into Gengar, here’s how to find one.
An easy way to get the Linking Cord is to purchase it from the Trading Post in the Jubilee Village, this purchase will cost you 1000 Merit Points.
Interact with the trader named Simona, select “I want to get items” and select Linking Cord in the list to purchase it.
Request 64: Getting To Know The Ghosts
If you don’t want to spend your Merit Points, you can complete Request 64: “Getting to Know the Ghosts” to get the Linking Cord.
Talk to the Ward in the Jubilee Village to initiate the quest.
This quest requires you to reach Research Level 10 with Gastly to finish its Pokedex Entry. You can do this by scaring Gastly “5” times without Him noticing you by using Scatter Bangs. After this go back to the Ward and the quest will be completed, rewarding you with the Linking Cord.
Once you get your hands on the Linking Cord, simply open your Inventory and “Use” the Linking Cord on the Haunter to evolve it into Gengar.
