Discovering and searching for a weapon case in Fortnite grants early access to high-rarity guns.
Weapon cases are a new addition to Fortnite, which was introduced with the release of Chapter 5, Season 1. Searching for a weapon case is a part of the Kickstart challenges, rewarding 15,000 XP upon completion.
Obtaining 15,000 XP isn’t the sole motivation for searching weapon cases in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 1. These cases contain Rare or Higher rarity weapons, advantageous for achieving Victory Royale.
Weapon case locations in Fortnite
mapAll weapon cases are scattered around the map of Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 1. These weapon cases can be found in the vaults of the society bosses and in the underground bases. The easy way of searching for a weapon case is to go to the base, which is set by underground. These weapon cases can be located in the locations marked by the Underground icon on the map.
These eight marked locations are the bases where you can find the weapon cases easily.
How to find a Weapon case in Fortnite
Once you reach an Underground marker location, look for an Underground symbol painted outside or inside of the building so you know you’re at the right place.
Once you know you are at the right place, head inside the building, and you’ll see arrows painted on the wall, which will lead you to the hidden weapon cases.
When the arrows lead to a dead end, search for another Underground symbol.
If you encounter an obstacle, use your pickaxe to break it and proceed inside. You’ll find the weapon cases waiting to be searched.
How to search a Weapon case in Fortnite
Once you have found the weapon cases, Now all that’s left is to search the weapon cases and in order to do that, simply walk up to the weapon case and hold on the button for a few seconds you use to pick up weapons with, After that the weapon case will pop open and the weapon will be available to be picked up by you.
Most of the time, the weapon case will drop you a weapon of Rare rarity but it can also reward you with a higher rarity depending on your luck.
