As a new Apex Legends player, you’ll have to participate in orientation matches in order to practice Battle Royale before you can properly play a real match.
If you’re an experienced player of Apex Legends, winning games can be very quick and easy. However, it can also be a really difficult experience for players playing the game for the first time as they often have to go against players with a much higher skill level.
In order to eliminate this issue, Respawn introduced Orientation Matches for beginners in Season 16. Now, many people don’t know what Orientation Matches are and how to complete them. If you want to learn more about Orientation Matches, then here’s a complete breakdown of Orientation Matches in Apex Legends.
What Are Orientation Matches?
Orientation Matches includes a certain amount of matches that players will have to play before they can jump into a real match. These matches were introduced to help new players understand how the game works and provide a foundation for the game. As new players experience the game-play through these matches, they will become familiar with do’s and don’ts of Apex in turn helping them move to lobbies filled with actual players.
How to Complete Orientation Matches?
Before participating in an Orientation Match, a player will have to complete the Tutorial Mode. In this mode, Pathfinder and Bloodhound will show the player basic movement, mechanics, and how to use abilities.
After completing the Tutorial, players can simply queue up for an Orientation Match from the main menu. The difference between Orientation Matches and Normal matches is that Orientation matches include beginner players with about Sixteen out of the Twenty squads being AI-Bots and the rest being new players. This offers a relaxed learning experience for each player.
Which Ranks can Play Orientation Matches Together?
New players are able to play with their experienced friends having any rank, whether it be Bronze, Gold, Platinum or even Predator. And their opponents are most likely going to be AI-Bots or New players.
How Many Orientation Matches are There?
In order to complete Orientation Matches, a player will have to either place in the Top 5 several times or win a match. Orientation Matches can also be concluded after a certain amount of games without a win or placing Top 5, so new players can easily graduate from Orientation matches by placing well in a few games.
Do you Earn Rewards after Completing Orientation Matches?
Unfortunately, you cannot earn any kind of reward after completing Orientation matches. If it was possible, it would become an easy way for veteran players to farm new accounts to earn cosmetics. This mode was introduced solely to make the game more accessible for players.
