Dota 2 is almost the most competitive game of all time due to the fact that it is strategically complex, and depending on how well the players perform, they are given a specific rank that can be improved over time. Still, when speaking of Dota 2 ranks, people often get confused, so this guide will help you get your head around Dota 2 Ranking, MMR, and Medals.
Dota 2 Rank Medals and MMR
To get a Dota 2 Ranking, You need to play casual games for hours to unlock the competitive mode. Then, you have to play ten competitive games, which will calibrate your rank and award you a certain rank based on your performance in those ten competitive games. Your rank is based on your MMR amount, which stands for Matchmaking Rating. This helps you get opponents with similar or better skills than you. MMR is divided into two categories: Solo Rating and Party Rating. If you win in Solo mode, you get 30 MMR per game. If you succeed in Group Mode, you get 20 MMR per game. Each Rank has five further divisions, each with a unique Medal. The table below lists all the ranks and how much MMR is required to achieve them.
