In the game Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Energy Cells are the Powerhouse of Link’s Devices, These devices aid Link in exploring the great adventures of the Hyrule. The game provides only a Single Battery to Link with only Three Energy Cells.
This Limited Capacity can sometimes be a little frustrating, but luckily the game provides a mechanism to upgrade the Batteries. An in-game item called the Crystallized Charges can be used to upgrade this capacity, but you might require many of them. This guide will provide all the information you need to get your hands on the Crystallized Charges.
How to get Crystallized Charges?
These are some of the ways that you can opt for to get Crystallized Charges.
Chests
You can obtain Crystallized Charges from treasure chests found near mines in the Depths, if luck is your way you may be able to find Large Crystallized Charges in one of the chests that are equal to 20 regular ones.
Bosses
Additionally to chests, you can also gather Crystallized Charges dropped by the Bosses in The Depths once you defeat them. Frox, Obsidian Frox, and Blue-White Frox are some of the Bosses that drop Large Crystallized Charges.
Additionally, after you defeat Master Khoga of the Yiga Clan as part of the main story, you’ll be rewarded with Huge Crystallized Charges which are equal to 100 Normal Crystallized Charges.
Zonaite
Zonaite is a material in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, that can be traded for Crystallized Charges. Zonaite can be obtained from Zonaite Ores, which can be found in Mines in The Depths.
In the depths, these are some of the mines where you can find Zonaite Ores.
- “Hylia Canyon Mine” is located at Coordinates (-1267, -2248, -0707)
- “Daphnes Canyon Mine” is located at Coordinates (-0177, -0557, -0514)
- “Faloraa Canyon Mine” is located at Coordinates (-0950, -2569, -0502).
Once you’ve found a Zonaite Ore, we recommend using Fire Bombs on them to mine Zonaite as this will speed up the process.
How to trade Zonaite for Crystallized Charges?
Once you have the Zonaite, you can trade it with the Forge Construct, you can find one of the constructs located in the Mining Cave that you Explore at the start of the Game, it is on the southern end of the sky island below the floating island with a pond, The Mining Cave Coordinates are (0388, -1623, 1412). Make your way into the cave and you’ll find a Forge Construct.
You can trade your Zonaite in return for Crystallized Charges. For “3” Zonaites, you will get “1” Crystallized Charge from the Construct, But there is a catch here: the construct, at any given time, has a limited supply of the Crystallized Charges. When all of the crystallized Charges are traded, you are left with no option but to wait for them to be restocked.
We recommend you complete One Regional Phenomenon, as it will then lead you to A Mystery in the Depths(Optional) Main Quest. After you defeat the Boss Master Khoga and finish the quest you will acquire Auto Build, as well as New Forge Locations.
The forge discovered in the Abandon Central Mine at Coordinates (-0861, -1941, -0522) has a much bigger stock than the one in the Mining Cave. This Forge also offers Large Crystallized Charges in return for Large Zonaite. The quantity of the Large Zonatie required for the trade is the same as the regular Zonaite (3 Large Zonatie for 1 Large Crystallized Charge), however, 1 Large Crystallized Charge is equal to 20 Small ones.
