One of the main aspects of Wild Hearts is the variety of deadly weapons that are available to the players for taking out the monsters in Azuma. With a wide range of weapons, the players can choose their preferred weapon type for the playstyle, whether it’s a heavyweight Nodachi or a rapid-fire bow.
One of the overpowered long-range weapons in Wild Hearts is Bow due to its attacking combos. Mastering the attacking combos, combining, and finding the best combo can make you deal thousands of damage to the monsters in a single hit. However, you would still have to craft the Bow, unlock the required Inherited Skills, wear the Armor, and pick the Talismans that increase the factors of the Bow Build.
Best Bow to Craft for the Build
There are numerous Bows that you will find at Natsume’s Forge, but the Bow that you want to craft is Tempest Bow: Skanda. It is because it has one of the best Base Stats, which will further increase the output negation of our build. There are other bows that are further down in the Skill Tree, but those Bows do not have any Crit Chance, which is focused in this build. So, we decided to go with Skanda Bow as it comes with 455 Damage with a 5% Crit Chance.
Utilize the Bow Stances and Combos
In order to deal the most damage, you will have to utilize the Bow’s Stances and combine different combos. There are two main stances of Bow that you will be using:
- Haya Stance (Horizontal Hold): The Haya Stance will allow you to shoot arrows rapidly that will stick to the target. Every individual arrow will deal a low amount of damage to the target, but the arrows will remain stuck to the target until you shoot an arrow with Otoya Stance.
- Otoya Stance (Vertical Hold): The Otoya Stance will allow you to shoot an arrow vertically that will explode on impact, including the Haya arrows, dealing a great amount of damage at a single time.
In order to combine them together to make a combo, you will have to use both of the stances quickly to get maximum output. The more quickly you change your stance to Otoya to shoot an arrow to explode the Haya arrows, the more damage you deal. It sounds pretty simple, but it holds off by another factor, Stamina.
Shooting the arrows will cost you a certain amount of stamina, and if your stamina runs out, you will have to wait for it to regenerate before you can change stance. The best way to utilize the stamina during the stance change is to shoot Haya arrows to a point where your stamina almost runs dry and then quickly change the stance to shoot the arrow. To get the most out of this technique, you will have to use the Volley Haya combo attack with Bolster Arrow.
You need to do the Volley Haya attack on the monster, and as soon as your stamina is about to go dry, you need to roll and change the stance. It will allow you to Bolster your bow twice in Otoya Stance, allowing you to deal immersive damage on impact. You can also mix it with an advanced combo like jumping off a crate and shooting Shockwave Arrow or using your glider to shoot a bolstered arrow.
Best Inherited Skills for Bow
In order to get the maximum damage out of a single successful attack, you will have to inherit your bow with certain skills. Unlocking the Skills in the Weapon Tree will allow you to make your Bow, even more, deadlier on the combos. The Best Skills that you need to inherit to your Bow are the following.
Skill | Effect |
Extreme Archery | Decreases stamina consumption. |
Critical Chain | Increases the chance of critical hits. |
Broken Beast Screaming Arrow | Increases the Damage Output of Otoya Attacks. |
Nocking Marvel | Decreases the time for Bow Bolstering. |
Fusion Reaper | Increases the Karakuri recovery when a fusion Karakuri is conjured. |
Best Armor and Talismans for Bow Build
Like any other Build, you got to wear an Armor that gives you certain effects relevant to your build to enhance the factors of your build. For the Early-Game, you can wear the Jadedance Armor Set. This complete set will allow you to cover your stamina more quickly and increase the rate of regenerating health from the potions. Overall, it will increase survivability, which is very much needed in the early game.
As you make your way towards the End-Game, you need to wear the following pieces as your Armor Set.
- Garuda Hat
- Garuda Uwagi (Kemono-Path)
- Garuda Gauntlets
- White Fang Brocaded Boots
- Garuda Hakama (Kemono-Path)
Wearing these Gear Sets will give you the skills that will increase your Stamina Recovery along with giving you more chances of landing Crit Hits. It is a full DPS Gear Set for the Bow Build and your attacks will be exponentially boosted.
Last but not least, you would also have to equip the following Talismans to complete your Best Bow Build.
- Pious Cross: Rosary
- Talisman of Yore: Dawn
- Defense Talisman
Pious Cross: Rosary is the best Talisman in the game because it gives the Resurrection Skill for free when your health is completely depleted. So basically, you will not die during your fight with the Kemonos. For the rest of the Talismans, they will increase your Thread and Defense.
