Vexcalibur is a special weapon in the game that can be crafted during a specific season. It provides extra shields to you and your teammates when used to block attacks. To unlock this weapon, players need to solve puzzles in the Gulch area of EDZ, leading to the discovery of a secret mission called “Avalon.” The completion of the Avalon mission rewards players with the Vexcalibur Glaive.
The following are the steps to unlock the vexcalibur glaive
Finding the Nodes
Six codes are scattered across the Gulch region of EDZ. Collect these code pieces within a maximum 30-second interval between each until you have all six.
First node: At the top of the hill, next to the cable gear.
Second node: Behind underneath the broken bridge near the lost sector in the south.
Third node: Hidden between the trees on the hilltop opposite the location of the first node.
Fourth node: In the middle of the Gulch near the Cable patrol and the downed land tank.
Fifth node: In the center of the area between the group of trees.
Sixth node: Northeast exit of The Glutch, in the sky near the Highway Sign.
Exotic Mission
After you have collected all six nodes, you have to go to the area where you found the fifth node. There’s a cave located nearby, follow the path and you will see a cave. Enter the cave and interact with the Vex Harpy to start the mission.

The mission will take the whole team or the players playing it into the Vex network. Mithrax will be with you through, and guide you on what’s going on in the mission. The mission includes a lot of jumping so get ready and make yourself comfortable. You have to look out for Greenlight and images of specific characters from the main Destiny 2 game. It will help you to guide through the maze in the network. Keep going through the mission until you fall into a large pool of radiolarian fluid, also known as “Vix milk. This is the place where you will find the first banner, which will teleport you to an area called the Darkness zone. Starting the mission “Mechanic”.
Mechanic
This mission presents various difficult challenges, including defeating powerful enemies, solving complex puzzles, and navigating dangerous areas. Players need to employ skillful strategy and flawless execution to successfully complete this segment.
The Brakion Battle
Following the Mechanic mission, players engage in a battle with Brakion, a powerful Vex Boss with damaging attacks. Quick movement to dodge attacks and targeting weak spots are crucial. Players must be vigilant for other Vex enemies joining the fight. After defeating the Boss, the Vexcalibur will appear, and players can pick it up.
Return To HELM
After defeating Brakion, players return to the HELM, where they present their findings on the War Table, fully unlocking the Vexcalibur for use.
