What are ascension perks?
These perks will help you to overpower your empire with different types of abilities found in them but also decrease your advancement if you use a perk that is not suitable according to certain scenarios. These ascension perks are divided into three general categories. You have to get two previous-level perks to unlock the next one.
How to acquire these perks
While playing, your empire will generate Unity Points. You will get a Tradition point if you reach a certain amount of unity points that will indirectly buff your empire performance. You have to complete a tradition tree by simply collecting these tradition points, and after completing one tree, you will get an ascension perk.
F Tier Ascension Perks:
Consecrated Worlds:
It does nothing special rather than increasing Spiritualist Ethnics Attraction, Empire-Wide Amenities, and Unity Generation of the maximum three consecrated uninhabited plants in our empire That is why it is ranked in the worst ascension perk.
Executive Vigor:
In the very beginning of the game it was a very cool perk to get your hands on but with the arrival of Galactic Paragons, it is simply no use. It gives you +100 Edicts Funds that you can spend on Edicts that are not particularly beneficial.
Xeno-Compatibility:
This perk will allow cross breeding between two different types of species living on the same plant that will eventually result in a 20% increase in population growth of the plants where two different types of species are living.
Hydrocentric:
By equipping this perk, you can create Ice Mining Stations on your Starbases planets. The Aquatic traits that are living on these will get 50% more benefits then the aquatic trait living on non-wet planets. Deluge Colossos’s weapon will also be unlocked after using this perk.
Detox:
Detox perk will be helpful if you want to de-toxic the toxic planets present into your empire and make them habitable to let more species to live on it. It is not that beneficial because You can conquer more space to gain more habitable worlds rather than wasting an ascension perk on just one.
C Tier Ascension Perks:
Interstellar Dominion:
This perk reduces the Starbase Influence Cost by 20% and also decreases the Claim Influence Cost by 20%. This is not that bad option but there are many more good options then this to be considered.
Mastery of Nature:
It will decrease the Clear Blocker Cost by 33% and also will unlock Mastery of Nature Decision. This decision will increase the maximum number of districts on a planet by +2.
Universal Transactions:
Branch Office Cost will be decreased by 15% if you are using this perk. Plus point of this perk is that maintenance of the Commercial Pacts will become free for you that cost Influence Points in normal scenarios.
Grasp the void:
This perk will increase your starbase capacity by +5 and give you a 50% increased chance of researching FTL travel technologies. This type of technology includes Hyper Relays, Jump Drives, Getaways, and many more. If you want to use this perk, you have to pick any other perk first to be able to use this one.
Lord of war:
Mercenary Enclave Capacity is increased by +1 as well as Diplomatic Weight of fleet power is also increased by 25% with respect to using this ascension perk. It is not a worthy choice, but it is still better than nothing.
Archaeo Engineers:

Nihilistic Acquisition:

This perk increases the cloaking strength and Encryption by +2. Also, If the enemy steals technology from you and decides to use it against you, the technology will automatically fail and our opponent will not be able to study the debris from our destroyed ship to use it against us.
World Shaper:
This perk is useful because you can terraform your worlds in Gaia Planets, which is the second-best planet in the entire game. It will also reduce terraforming costs by 25%.
Eternal Vigilance:
This is a very great perk in view of it being in the B tier list because Starbase Damage, Starbase Hull, Point, and Defense Platform Damage will be increased by 25%. Defense Platforms Cap will also be increased by +5.
Galactic Contender:
Damage to Fallen Empires, Damage to Awakened Empires and Damage to The Gate-builders will be increased by 33% by using this perk. In Bonus, Diplomatic Weight will be increased by 20%. But to use this, you will need 3 other ascension perks in use that can be achieved when you are immense in the game.
Mechromency:
By using this perk, you will get an additional 15% increase in Large Slot Weapon Damage, Extra Large Slot Weapon Damage, and in Titan Slot Weapon Damage. Purged Biological or Lithoid populations can be restored as cyborg zombies if you are using this perk.
Galactic Force Projection:
This perk will increase your Naval Capacity by +80 and Fleet Command Limit by +20 but for such a small benefit, you must have selected 2 other ascension perks before selecting this perk.
A Tier Ascension Perks:
One Vision:
This perk will increase your monthly unity by 10%, decrease your population amenities usage by 10%, and increase your Governing Ethics Attraction by a huge 50%. This is the perk that most players use in more complex scenarios.
Master Builders;
This perk is very useful given megastructures because it will increase the Megastructure building speed by +50%, and it will also increase megastructure building capacity by +1.
Colossus Project:
This perk will allow you to build more colossus project ships and equip them with colossus project weapons that are the one of the most damaging weapons in the game that will provide you huge benefit in the long run.
Defender of the galaxy:
This perk will increase the damage to Prethoryn Creature, damage to the unbidden, damage to the aberrant, damage to the vehement, damage to the contingency, damage to nanites, and damage to the Crisis-seeking civilization by +50%. In addition, it will also increase the opinion of the empires capable of diplomacy by +200.
Technological Ascendency:
This perk will increase the research speed by +10%. Rare technologies can be found 1.5x faster than the normal rate plus the chance of finding these technologies will also be increased from 1% to 1.5%.
Imperial Prerogative:
This perk will decrease the empire size on the plants by -50%, and leader capacity will be increased by +2 which is not a bad deal in the general view.
Voidborne
This perk will decrease the cost of habitable buildings by -20%, and Building Slots from Non-Urban Habitable Districts will be increased by +0.25. You can also construct advanced housing buildings in Habitable. Habitable max district and Jobs in these Habitable Districts will be increased by +2 and +1, respectively.
Shared Destiny:
The maximum number of available envoys will be increased by +2 and your subject will not suffer monthly loyalty plenties from you having different subjects in respect of using this ascension perk.
S Tier Ascension Perks:
Galactic Wonders:
Through this perk, you will gain research options, including Ring Segment, Matter Decomposer, and Dyson Sphere. Above all the names are some of the most powerful megastructures in the game.
Arcology Project:
This perk will unlock the new “Arcology Project” that is the best decision in the entire game. This decision will provide you with great benefits such as turning a planet into Ecumenpolis, increasing the housing resource production, population growth and many more.
Hive World:
This perk will unlock a new planet terraforming option that is Hive World. If you terraform your plant into a hive world, the resource output of the population living on these hive worlds will be increased by +10%.
Machine World;
This perk is the same as Hive world, the resources output of the machine population is increased by +10% and housing Usage is decreased by -10%. A bonus thing added to this is that Agricultural Districts of the machine world will automatically be destroyed.
Become the Crisis:
This perk is the most helpful ascension perk in the Stellaris. This perk will unlock the Crisis tab that will give you bonuses every single time you level up. It simply has many more benefits that players can enjoy only while using this perk.
Transcendent Learning:
This perk will increase the leader capacity by +2, leader pool size by +1, and leader experience gain by +33%. This perk mainly focuses on leaders who provide more successful leaders for our progression in the game.
