Pokémon Scarlet and Violet feature some powerful Electric-type Pokémon for players to add to their team. They have also brought back the popular sheep Pokémon called Mareep in the game. It was first introduced in Generation 2 of Pokémon games. It means players can now enjoy using Mareep and the electric types introduced in the game.
Mareep with its evolved forms, Flaaffy and Ampharos, has made its way into the hearts of Pokémon players. If you are unsure about how Pokémon evolve, we have the information you need.
Before you can evolve your Mareep, you have to catch it in the first place.
Where to Find Mareep
Before you can make this Pokémon evolve into Flaaffy and Ampharos, you have to find it in Paldea to add it to your collection. However, you can find Mareep only in a specific location in Paldea. Finding Mareep by chance is not that effortless. Your best option is to look out for Mareep in that location.
Head to the South Province and Area Two and look out for Mareep.
Mareep can spawn on the map at any time in the game. It’s recommended to search for Mareep in the daytime. Mareep is found in grassy plains and olive fields of South West Province.
How to Evolve Mareep
Unlike many other Pokémon that have a special condition to evolve, Mareep keeps it simple. To evolve Mareep into Flaaffy and then into Ampharos, you just have to make sure that Mareep reaches certain levels. Nothing special is needed; you just have to let Mareep get experience points from battling, and it will evolve automatically. Keep leveling up your Mareep by taking it into battles and adventures and seeing it evolve.
Mareep evolves into Flaaffy once it reaches level 15. After that, Mareep evolves from Flaaffy into Ampharos when it hits level 30. If you want to speed up this process, you can go with XP candies and Meal power to quickly boost its experience points. This will increase Mareep’s level and help it evolve quickly. These items can be useful for quicker progression.
Where To Find Flaaffy
If you are eager and can’t wait for your Mareep to evolve into Flaaffy, it’s possible that you can find Flaaffy in the wilds of Paldea. Fortunately, it’s not that challenging to come across one if you know where to find it. Flaaffy commonly appears in the South Province “Area Six” and West Province “Area Two”, and you will have the highest chance of finding Flaaffy near green grassy fields and olive fields. So, get to these places, and you might catch Flaaffy to add it to your Pokémon team without waiting for the evolution of Mareep.
Where To Find Ampharos
While exploring Pladea, you can come across Ampharos. However, like Mareep and Flaaffy, Ampharos is a rare spawn. If you’re lucky enough, you can discover one in the North Province “Area One” and South Province “Area Six” regions.
