Herbology is the most overpowered yet underrated subject by the Students of Hogwarts Legacy. The magical plants are extraordinary when it comes to combat while also having a lifetime supply of whatever you grow, before heading into a big fight make sure to get stacked up with them.
Room of Requirement is revealed to the player in the early stages of the game. It grants you the space required for planting, potion-making, and much more. However, you start your herbology journey with only small pots in your inventory. This guide will help you find large pots to grow huge plants to make Professor Mirabel Garlick proud.
Trip to Hogsmeade
Travel to Hogsmeade and head straight to the Tomes and Scrolls shop. Interact with Thomas (Shopkeeper) and navigate to the Conjuration Spellcraft section, there you will find different variations of potting tables. The prices are mentioned below:
- Potting Table with One Large Pot – 1000 Galleons
- Potting Table with Two Large Pots – 3000 Galleons
We suggest purchasing one large pot in the early game phase, however, if you have extra cash to spend you can get the other option too. The next stop is Dogweed and Deathcap, a plant shop containing all sorts of magical seeds located in the northernmost region of Hogsmeade. The price for each seed is as follows:
- Chinese Chomping Cabbage Seed – 600 Galleons
- Mandrake Seed – 800 Galleons
- Venomous Tentacula Seed – 1050 Galleons
Only buy the seeds that support large pots. After making the purchase, you can also get a fertiliser to speed up the growth process. If you are looking for normal plant seeds that are also used in herbology assignments, you can visit The Magic Neep (also within Hogsmeade).
Start Harvesting in the Room of Requirement
Head back to the Room of Requirement with all the items, use the Conjuration spell, navigate into the Herbology section, select any large pot, and place it wherever you like. Now interact with the planter, and you will be able to see the seeds that can be grown in it. Once the seed is planted, it will reveal the growth time and also the amount you will yield after it completes. It is a repeatable process, so keep farming until you have enough supplies to last in battles and ultimately dominate your foes.
