PID Games have confirmed that the action-packed side-scrolling 2D platformer Gravity Circuit will launch this year as per the previously announced schedule without any delays, along with an officially confirmed release date.
The events of Gravity Circuit are set in a post-apocalyptic world populated by sentient robots under threat from the Virus Army. The action-oriented gameplay of the title is reminiscent of classic platformers from the 1980s and 1990s.
The Virus Army is an old foe that was crushed decades ago by the Guardian Corps and its residents and has risen from the ashes. This time around, the Virus Army came forth from the shadows with the sole objective of complete world dominance. The residents helplessly look up to Kai, the hero who has previously led them to victory against the evil foe.
Kai, having defeated the Virus Army in the past, is the only hope for the weakened Guardian Corps and is, in fact, their last line of defense. He is renowned for harnessing the powers of the mysterious Gravity Circuit. In Gravity Circuit, you will take on the role of Kai and embark on an adventure through futuristic environments in order to bring down the Virus Army and put an end to the turmoil.
Gravity Circuit will be released on July 13 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The official launch trailer gives a glimpse into the game.
