In the vast world of Hogwarts Legacy, players will encounter several locked locations that are only accessible through the infamous spell Alohomora. It has 3 upgradeable levels and progressing them requires multiple visits to the Hospital Wing. However, the wing is also well known because of the appearance in the original Harry Potter series which might be another reason to explore it.
Entering the Hospital Wing
The Hospital Wing is a restricted area, accessing it also has its prerequisites and one of them includes the main quest “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament”. Before that, you will also have to attend Howin’s Beast Class. Later on, you will receive an owl post from Gladwin Moon (Caretaker) requesting the player to collect Demiguise Statues in the restricted section of the school(He will guide you through it and teach you Alohomora 1 to unlock doors). Statues are found in a tricky location but we will save you from that trouble and mention it below:
- The backside of the Perfects’ Bathroom: Use the Disillusionment Spells to sneak past NPCs, once you reach the top floor unlock the door using Alohomora and get the first statue.
- Inside the Hospital Wing on a table beside wingback chairs: The stairs next to the bathroom lead directly into the hospital wing, use them to get to the second statue.
Deliver the statues to Gladwin to complete the quest, this will reveal other side missions with the caretaker. These quests will eventually lead to learning advanced Alohomora. It will also trigger the Flame Floo (Fast Travel) for the Hospital Wing.
Note: Demiguise Statues are only collectible during night time.
