Thunder Manifestation is a normal overworld boss in Genshin Impact. Players often call it the “Electro Oceanid” because its appearance resembles the Oceanid. However, it does not have the intelligence or memories she contains.
Thunder Manifestation Location
Thunder Manifestation is located on Amakumo Peak, Inazuma. This place is almost at the center of Seirai Island. The fastest way to get to it is using the teleport waypoint South of it and then gliding towards the fighting area.
First, you must unlock Seirai island using the Statue of the Seven. You then need to complete the Seirai Stormchasers World Quest series in Inazuma to unlock this boss fight.
Recommended Team/Characters:
He loves to teleport around the fighting area; this makes it hard to deal with using melee characters. The best characters to use for the fight are bow and catalyst users are perfect for this fight as they can deal ranged damage, nullifying his Teleporting ability. A shield character is also pretty handy in this battle, as some attacks are very difficult to dodge.

The ATK, HP, and DEF values of the Thunder Manifestation vary according to the boss level or the World Level. Its ATK/ HP/ DEF range from 183 – 17,728/ 1,028 – 776,440/ 505 – 1000.

Thunder Manifestation Strategy
Thunder Manifestation is an Entity of Pure Electro energy, so it is immune to any Electro attacks. However, it tends to stay close to the ground, making it possible to be defeated by melee characters. It teleports around the arena using its blink ability, making it hard to use melee characters efficiently. This is why using Pyro and Cryo characters are recommended, which are the most efficient to defeat an Electro enemy. Yoimiya and Ganyu are perfect DPS characters for this boss fight.
For its normal phase, just attack when the boss is not moving around. Next to its health bar is another small indicator to the right. This indicates the Fury of the Thunder Manifestation. Once it reaches max fury, it is enraged. Its enraged phase is when it tends to go into its Enraged phase and starts to teleport randomly and do many rapid attacks. All of its attacks can be avoided by using dash I-frames and ultimate animation I-frames. You could use its teleporting ability against it, as it will always teleport back to the center of the arena after teleporting away. It produces 5 different electro feathers and releases them toward the position of the player. On a hit, each feather deals 28.8% ATK as Electro DMG.
What are the Abilities used by the Thunder Manifestation?
The Thunder Manifestation has different sets of attacks depending upon if it’s engaged or not.
Normal Abilities and Attacks
Strike Probes
It flies up into the air and releases a few electro turrets around the arena. These turrets pulse after a few seconds, each in a specific radius, dealing 16.6% ATK as Electro DMG upon landing. When the player is within range of these turrets, the Thunder Manifestation will constantly gain “Rage.”
Lightning Strikes
The Thunder Manifestation performs random lightning strikes around the arena. Each strike deals 43.3% ATK as Electro DMG.
Full Arena Strike
When at 75% HP, it unleashes a large shockwave across the whole arena. This deals 27.7% ATK as Electro DMG. Note that this attack cannot be used by the Thunder Manifestation in domains or the Spiral Abyss.
Enraged Abilities and Attacks
Blink
Allows the Thunder Manifestation to teleport anywhere across the arena.
Slicing Storm
It flies upwards with one wing high up, and the other one does, then rotates while spinning toward the player. This attack does sequential damage, and each time its wing hits the player, 27.7% ATK is dealt as Electro DMG.
Smack
Raises only one wing and swings it at the player while standing still. This deals 55.5% ATK as Electro DMG.
Walls of Lightning
It summons two walls of electro-lightning, which close in at the player’s position. These walls rapidly and randomly deal 100% ATK as Electro DMG in a damage sequence.
Thunder Plumes
It produces 5 different electro feathers and releases them toward the position of the player. On a hit, each feather deals 28.8% ATK as Electro DMG.
Dive Bomb
It flies toward the border of the arena and charges for an attack. It dives forward in a straight line toward the player—deals 83.3% ATK as Electro DMG.
Torrential Descent
It flies up with both its wings raised and calls forth three lightning bolts. This is repeated twice, and each lightning bolt deals 43.3% ATK as Electro DMG.
Homing Thunder
The Thunder Manifestation charges up and marks the player it is targeting. Then a circle will appear underneath the player for a moment. Followed by a Thunder Cage that homes toward the player, dealing 27.7% ATK as Constant Electro DMG.

There are a total of 5 Achievements that can be obtained from the Thunder Manifestation.
- Love and Non-Communication: To obtain this, you need to defeat the Thunder Manifestation without being locked onto by it.
- Thunder Fall: To obtain this, you must defeat the Thunder Manifestation while it is flying in the air, i.e. performing a Divebomb attack.
- Electric Escape: To obtain this, you must defeat the Thunder Manifestation without being hit by its Homing Thunder attack.
- Radio Silence: For this achievement, you must get locked onto the Thunder Manifestation before attacking it.
- Our Hearts as One: To obtain this, you must defeat the Thunder Manifestation in Co-op mode.
