The open-world action RPG Elden Ring is approaching its first anniversary, and just days before the milestone, it adds another badge to its collar: 20 million sales worldwide.
The developers Bandai Namco and FromSoftware announced earlier today that the game had surpassed the 20 million sales mark. They were ecstatic, and why shouldn’t they be? The title is now one of Firm Software’s best-selling titles.
They announced the joyous occasion with the following words:
Elden Ring was expected to dominate the market, but who would have predicted that the game would reach the 20 million mark in such a short period of time? This is no small feat, given that the game competes with titles like God of War Ragnarok and Forbidden Horizon West. It is important to mention that this wobbling amount of 20 million includes both digital and physical sales across all formats.
Apart from this 20 million sales milestone, Elden Ring has previously won a few awards, including Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2022.
