As was the case in the past, Bethesda has released a new update for Fallout 76 just before the next big patch for the game. The latest update features a brand new event titled Call to Axe-ion and adds some minor stuff to the game.
The “Call to Axe-ion” lets you pick up the Redd-Upper Auto-Ax skin in the Atomic Shop for free and adds unique daily and weekly challenges. While the event is relatively minor, the next big update for Fallout 76 is still scheduled to arrive in December. That month, Bethesda will launch Season 11 of the Season Pass and the Nuka-World on Tour update, which will feature new public events, a regional boss, and even more events.
It has also been revealed that the update will also feature some mechanical changes regarding weapons. The changes were stated on the official blog for the game, where the developers said that they want this game to be fair, fun, and inviting for everyone. As a result, they’ve been working on a new system that works behind the scenes to remove illegal combinations of attachments that violate the EULA to ensure that every player uses and trades the same items and has the same benefits as each other.
As such, in this update, the developers are implementing a system to remove illegal mods attached to weapons that cannot be obtained in-game. Most players will not notice any changes to their existing weapons. However, players using a gun with a mod that cannot be naturally equipped to the weapon may experience a reduction in weapon damage, and the mod will no longer exist. This is intentional; and not a bug that needs to be reported. Bethesda stated that players should contact them for a solution if they notice any other changes.
Below are the date and times for the event, detailing when it’ll start and when it’ll end:
Event Start: 12:00 p.m. ET on November 15
Event End: 12:00 p.m. ET on November 28
