Being a new vampire in V Rising, you’re more then likely to run into several issues such as, How to avoid the sun, tracking bosses, how to feed on enemies or being blocked by Environment while placing a castle heart. Now, one of the earliest issue you’ll face while building your home is Blocked by Border. Well, worry not as in this guide, we’ll be going over the importance of the Castle’s Heart, moving Castle Heart and how to resolve the Blocked by Border issue.
Importance of Castle’s Heart
Castle Heart is the primary material you’ll need to lay out the foundation of your castle. It is the heart of your castle that provides it with all the necessary power it needs to remain functional. Castle Heart also allows you to claim a portion of land and place boundaries within which you’ll be able to construct your castle
Furthermore, Castle Heart is the core of your base, so if it gets destroyed or taken over, everything you own will be gone. So, just be sure to place it in the center of the land that you claim.
Requirements for Castle Heart
It can be obtained after accepting the Lord of Shadows quest, which you can only complete if you are at least level 10. Now, before you start your search for the perfect location to place your Castle Heart and build your castle, there are some requirements you’ll need to fulfill in order to construct Castle Heart. Here are the things you’ll need to construct Castle Heart:
- 30 Blood Essence
- 240 Stones
So, scavenge these items from the forest of Forbane Woods before you start searching for the perfect location.
There are certain restrictions as to where you can or cannot place the Castle Heart. It can only be placed on a completely flat surface. So find an area that is free of hills and cliffs and place the Castle Heart there. In addition, make sure that there is at least 50% buildable space near the location you selected.
How to Move Castle Heart in V Rising?
The method for moving the Castle Heart is same as placing it somewhere for the first time. To move it, go to the Building Menu in the Fundamentals tab, select Castle Heart and place it in the new location.
For the new location, choose a place with larger dimension. The higher the buildable space, the better. In addition, there’s a Dismantle mechanic in V Rising that can be used to clear out trees and stones. It can simply be done by pressing Space-bar while in the build mode.
Resolve Blocked by Border Issue
While moving you castle, the earliest issue you’ll face is Blocked by Border. This issue appears when you place a border at the wrong place. Now, in order to solve this issue, you will need to remove the border. Removing the border may sound simple but it really isn’t as anything adjacent to the tile will prevent it from removing the border.
Now, in order to solve this issue, go into Building Mode by pressing B and dismantle everything you see that are adjacent to the tile where the border is placed. This includes the floors, walls, and any other building you might have placed there. Once everything is removed adjacent to the tile, you will be able to remove the border, which will then allow you to move the Castle Heart freely and the Blocked by Border issue in V Rising will be solved.
