Collection of Dragons and Snakes is a world quest in Genshin Impact, offered by Ema where you have to collect various books for her and adjust them in place. Now getting these books is more challenging than you think. There are no specified locations, you have to find them based completely on hints, but worry not because this guide will save you from that trouble.
Finding Ema and Starting the Quest
To find Ema head inside the Grand Library in Enkanomiya. Go up the stairs and turn left to find a shadowy blue figure, interact with it will reveal her name “Ema.” She will offer you the quest to find the books and provide hints about their locations.
Note: Activate the Evernight mode before interacting with Ema or she will not appear.
The Serpent and Drakes of Tokoyokoku
This is the quickest book to locate. Simply go to Yae Publishing House, located within Inazuma City. Interact with the vendor (Editor in the publishing House), and the book will be named ‘The Serpent and Drakes of Tokoyokoku‘ for 1500x Gold Coins.
Before Sun and Moon
The ‘Before Sun and Moon’ book is a reward for completing the quest called “Antigonus.” To start this quest find the NPC in Dainichi Mikoshi. It is a simple quest, so just follow it till the end to obtain the book.
Hydrological Studies in Byakuyakoku
Same as the previous one, this book is also awarded for completing a quest called “Date’s Challenge.” Similar to the previous one, this book is also awarded for completing a quest called “Date’s Challenge.” Follow the whole quest which is pretty basic with some puzzles in line. Once you are done with that, open the treasure chest to collect your book.
Bathysmal Vishap Experimental Records
These records have information about the major boss “Bathysmal Vishap,” which is also attainable as a reward from the simple world quest “Tricolor File.” Travel through the phase gates to find the NPC that gives you this quest and follow the instructions to complete the quest.
In the Light, Beneath the Shadow
Out of all the books, the most challenging and complex one is “In the Light, Beneath the Shadow.” It contains a series of puzzles to unlock and is pretty hard. The solution to this puzzle is mentioned in the steps below:
- Travel to Dainichi Mikoshi.
- Go to the mechanism activation area.
- Follow the series: Activate Whitelight – Hit the mechanism right outside the entrance – Activate Evernight.
- This will open a new path where you can claim a chest and, after claiming, climb up to activate the new mechanism.
- Note the number of dots next to each sign as well as the symbols themselves.
- Now travel to the Serpent Hearts gate and run through the walls beside it.
- This will activate the treasure chest that will contain the book.
Now that you have all the required books, head back to Ema in the Library and complete your quest to claim the hard-earned Seelie and Key Sigil.
