PlayStation’s Official YouTube channel has recently posted a new trailer for World War Z: Aftermath’s next-gen update that confirms a brand new Horde Mode XL with massive hordes. The update will be free of charge for existing players and will also be releasing on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 this month.

PlayStation

The game has made some highlights from 2021 in the zombie games category, and with this new massive Horde Mode Expansion, it is sure to be more successful. The Horde Mode will bring some of the most massive zombie hordes, which will include more than 1000 zombies, so players are in for one of the biggest zombies gathering in a game. So it is certain that the difficulty will increase even more. Moreover, with the next-gen update, players can play World of War Z: Aftermath at 4k and 60FPS, as it will only be available on the next-gen consoles.

The mode won’t be coming to older consoles which would disappoint some fans, but there might be a reason for that. It is more likely because the older consoles won’t be able to give the best performance. Still, the developers didn’t want to leave the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 players out, so a new update for them will also be released. The update will bring new weapons, improving the weapon progression system. The game is likely to get more updates and new content on the latest consoles, so fans can expect some exciting news in the future.

The next-gen update along with the new mode, will be available to download on next-gen consoles from 24 January.
