Vampire Survivors is a roguelike shoot-’em-up initially released in early access in December 2021. It saw a full release in October 2022 when it was made available for Game Pass on PC before joining Xbox Game Pass in November alongside titles such as Battlefield 2042. Players choose one of many characters who automatically attack while the player fights waves of monsters to survive as long as possible.

The game will receive an update called ‘Legacy of the Moonspell’, priced at $1.99. The DLC will be released on December 15th for Xbox and PC via Steam and include tons of additional content. The DLC takes place in the eastern lands and focuses on a clan called Moonspell. The Steam page for the DLC states that the Moonspell were once vigilant guardians of a magical valley in the mountains, but they were overwhelmed by hordes of monsters.

The DLC will also bring with it eight new playable characters. While the developers have yet to talk about all of them, some of the new characters include Miang Moonspell, who is the last disciple of the Moonspell clan before it fell, and possibly its best. Menya Moonspell is one of the few surviving Moonspell Elders, and her mystical powers are mighty.

The third character is Syuuto Moonspell, who was banished for practicing dark new moon magic; however, Syuuto still helps fight evil. Finally, there’s Babi-Onna, back from the dead to take revenge on demons and mortals alike.

The DLC will also feature thirteen new weapons and a new scene called Mt. Moonspell. The new map will be the game’s biggest stage yet and features several different environments, each with its challenges and resident monsters. Lastly, the DLC will contain six new music tracks, titled Legacy of the Moonspell, Festive Breeze, Rumble Kachara, Haze of Night, Hell Night, and Crystal Allure.

Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Moonspell DLC will launch on December 15th for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
