Earlier today, Crema released an update 1.3 for Temtem to kick off Season 3. It includes a limited-time event with many exclusive rewards, new challenges, and a new currency. It also features balance changes, with community balance helpers advising the developers on what to modify.
The update introduces the new season, Clash of Tamers, which begins today. The season will introduce new content, such as various friendly rivalries, and on top of that, it will also feature fierce clothing and mounts from various eras.
However, if competition is not your thing, the update also has the Leprechaun’s Eve event on offer. This particular event runs from today until April 2nd and provides the opportunity to obtain various exclusive rewards.
Luma Drops, a new currency, is also included in the update. Luma Drops can be used to obtain items such as the TemCardX, Dyes, and various other previously unpurchaseable items. This currency can be obtained from the Luma Drop shop located in the newly opened area of Nanto Labs.
The major update is the addition of three new challenge modes. The best part is that these modes use a separate save slot and run on a different server, so playing them will not jeopardize your Temtems or currency. Furthermore, you can play these modes in co-op mode, but only one Challenge can be active at a time. These modes are Nuzlocke Mode, Randomlocke Mode, and Speedrun Mode, with difficulty scaling up in each.
In Nuzlocke Mode, you can only catch the first two Temtem you see per route if you’re playing alone and one if you’re playing with a friend. The twist is that if your Tems are defeated in a battle, you will lose them, so you must choose your battles wisely, or you can end up losing all your Tems.
The Randomlocke Mode, as the name suggests, randomizes things. This mode randomly assigns Temtems, Techniques, items, NPCs, and wild encounters while retaining species, evolutionary lines, Traits, and Gears.
The Speedrun Mode is a high-speed dash to the finish line. In this mode, you must complete the game as quickly as possible, with a timer for each section, an island timer, and an overall timer. However, loading times are not counted during this time, and the game will automatically skip anything that can be skipped. You can check the full list of patch notes here.
