Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris is an action RPG video game based on the Sword Art Online franchise and was developed by Bandai Namco. The game is based on the “Underworld of Project Alicization” from the novels and is the first game in the franchise to follow the canon storyline in the initial stage faithfully, adapting the novel from volume 9 to volume 14, then diverging and telling an original story.

Bandai Namco has supported the game since its release two years ago, as just recently, they released a brand new update and announced that the game would receive DLC titled “Blooming of Matricaria.” The company’s continuous support of the game has caused it to receive a strong following worldwide, and the latest update brings some much-needed additions to the game.

The most significant addition is that players can now play as a new character called Eydis, who can be unlocked after the main scenario is completed. Another addition is that Incarnation Shards can now be exchanged for shards of a different size to the Enigma Broker peak in North Centoria as long as they are the same color.

The update also added two new items in the Memory Exchange. The first is a unique accessory called the Recollection Jewel, which can only be equipped by Kirito, while the second is the ability to purchase 100 Incarnation Shards. Players can exchange these items for the “Memory Badge,” which can only be obtained by defeating “Ultimate Kirito” in the Memory Arena. Lastly, the update also reduced the number of shards required to reach the “+61” enhancement and fixed some bugs in the game.
