Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is the latest entry in the Final Fantasy franchise and is a role-playing action game. The game is a prequel to the original Final Fantasy, now available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch via the Pixel Remaster. It was developed by Team Ninja and was published by Square Enix, and it is set in an alternate universe from the first FF game. The game follows the protagonist, Jack, as he goes on a quest with his friends to battle the entity known as Chaos.

The DLC will follow Jack and his friends on a new adventure as they encounter a Moogle. The Moogle guides Jack and his party, causing them to embark on a new quest to save the day in an alternate timeline.

Square Enix also showed off a brand new DLC trailer, showing Jack with a gun and a new sword. The trailer starts with a Moogle approaching the main party and asking them for help, as he tells them that someone is trying to mess with the game’s universe, with the ultimate goal of erasing the timeline for good. The Moogle also tells the party that the universe’s future is set on a dark path, and he needs their help to stop it.

This isn’t the first DLC for the game, as previously, the title received two expansion. These expansions were called Trials of the Dragon King and Wanderer of the Rift. Square Enix has confirmed that the users who purchased the game’s season pass will receive the “Different Future” expansion at no extra cost.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin’s “Different Future” expansion will launch on January 27th, 2022, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
