EA has partnered with the Epic Games Store to provide one of its games, Star Wars Squadrons, which was released in 2020. This latest promotion will last a week and replace Evil Dead: The Game and Dark Deity, which were free last week.

Star Wars: Squadrons is a space combat game developed by Motive Studios and published by Electronic Arts. The game offers a space combat experience set in the Star Wars universe and features a single-player campaign and a competitive multiplayer mode. It also has full VR support and features iconic ships from the franchise, such as TIE Fighters, X-Wings, TIE Interceptors, Y-Wings, and more. The ships are presented as flying ships with interiors authentic to tradition. The game may not reach the heights of other EA Games, such as FIFA 23, which recently got a world cup update, but it’s got its fans and is a worthwhile adventure.

Epic Games also revealed the following games that will be free on December 1st. These are Fort Triumph and RPG in a Box. Fort Triumph is a tactical turn-based strategy game developed by CookieByte Entertainment and was released in 2018. The game takes inspiration from XCOM’s combat system and combines it with a focus on world exploration inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic. The game sees the player lead a gang of heroes through a humorous, parodic fantasy plot where permadeath could be just around the corner.

RPG in a Box comes from developer Justin Arnold and offers its players the tools to build their voxel-based RPG adventure. The game is designed to be suitable for beginners and requires no prior knowledge of programming or modeling. In addition, you can export your games to a separate format for Windows, Linux, and macOS, meaning playing RPGs in Box creations is possible without the player having access to the original game. Both games will become free on December 1st and last until December 8th.
