Despite the lack of an official announcement from Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment, the Star Wars Jedi Survivor release date has now leaked online. It has been rumored that a sequel to Fallen Order will be released sometime in March 2023. While it seemed likely that these were rumors, a new leak appears to have confirmed this.
The game is the sequel to Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will be a third-person, narrative-driven action-adventure that will pick up five years after the first game’s events. The game follows the protagonist, Cal Kestis, accompanied by his loyal sidekick, BD-1. As one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy, Kal must acquire new skills and deepen his connection to the Force to stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit.
While no official release date has been given, the release date has been leaked as the upcoming action adventure has been confirmed to launch on March 15, 2023, via the game’s Steam page. This release date was mentioned along with many new details about the game, including pre-order bonuses, new gameplay mechanics, and key art for the title. The game’s Steam page has also reverted to its previous version, meaning it no longer lists a release date or new details, suggesting they were posted by accident.
EA and Respawn will most likely announce the release date formally later this week at The Game Awards 2022. It has been rumored that alongside the announcement of the release date, we will also receive a brand new trailer showing off gameplay, although this is unconfirmed.
Star Wars Jedi Survivor will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on March 15th, 2022.
