Sonic Frontiers has got fans excited to get their hands on the game. Still, it looks like copies of the upcoming title are available for players in a specific region less than two weeks before the game officially launches on November 8th.
After five years of development, the world will soon be graced with Sonic the Hedgehog’s next adventure in this latest entry. Still, it’s been a tough job for SEGA as they tried to stop any significant leaks from happening due to speedruns of the demo at Gamescom. But the company may again find itself in a pickle, as someone has reported that copies of the game are already being sold to the public.
As Twitter user Cahloosh spotted, there seems to be an unknown seller in Canada who has already put up copies of Sonic Frontiers for the PS5. While we don’t know whether Cahloosh was the one who had the copy, it certainly looks genuine, as it even has a time and date printed, indicating when it was purchased. As there’s a copy of the game out there now, it’s probably not a stretch to say that spoilers for the game will start showing up soon.
As of right now, this copy of the game is the only copy that’s been found. So this is an isolated incident rather than a widespread issue. For now, fans don’t have to worry about spoilers, as Cahloosh said that even though they have the game, they will not be posting any spoilers themselves. Still, fans should vary as a copy is out there already, meaning there’s only a matter of time before other people post spoilers over the next few days. There’s little time until the game’s November 8th release date, so if you’d like to use social media, please be sure to do so with caution.
