Deep Silver announced that all Saints Row IV PC copies would be automatically upgraded to the Re-Elected Edition for free on December 8th. This also applies to the PC-exclusive Saints Row IV: Game of the Century Edition.
Released in 2014, Saints Row IV is a 2013 action-adventure game developed by Volition and published by Deep Silver. While the series has been compared to Rockstar games such as RDR2, which recently hit its peak player count on Steam, it has always been more comedic.
The game was released in several cumulative editions, the first being The Game of the Century Edition, which contained 20 downloadable content sets and was released in 2014. This was followed by the National Treasure Edition, which included 29 downloadable content sets and was released on July 8, 2014. The game was then ported to PS4 and Xbox One as the Re-Elected Edition, which included all previous DLC and new features such as voice commands.
With the Re-Elected Edition, players will have access to several additional DLC packs, such as the missions Enter the Dominatrix and How the Saints Save Christmas, as well as a bunch of clothing and weapons. Cross-play on PC will also be added, meaning players across Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG can play together.
Deep Silver also warned that all other versions of Saints Row IV and its standalone DLC packs would be removed from PC stores on the same day. The studio stated that players’ saves and achievements will be moved over so they can still play as they always have and that mods should not be affected.
Saints Row IV Re-Elected Edition upgrade will be released for PC on December 8th, 2022.
