The Future of Play Direct 2023 was hosted by GLITCH Livestream today, which revealed brand new trailers and fresh updates from indie titles. Among the lineup of upcoming titles, REKA was also featured, along with its gameplay trailer.
REKA is a third-person exploration game developed by Emberstorm Entertainment, and the trailer showed off the in-game world. The game is an atmospheric base-building game set in rural Europe in the late nineteenth century. REKA will have you explore and travel the nature of Central Europe as a Slavic Witch.
In the game, you will embark on a journey to master the art of witchcraft by traversing the surroundings in your Cottage. The Cottage plays a pivotal role in REKA as it is a massive, ever-expanding self-built chicken-legged home that can travel around. Furthermore, the Cottage is fully customizable, so you can build it as you see fit.
Apart from building your chicken-legged cottage, you’ll have to roam around the surroundings and explore the forests and swamps to collect various plants and herbs in order to craft magical supplies for villagers. The game will launch for PC via Steam in 2024.
