Ravenlock is an action RPG that was first revealed as part of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase during Summer Games Fest 2022, and it has piqued the interest of gamers ever since. The RPG has a fairy-tale aesthetic and will join Riverbond and Echo Generations as part of the Voxel Trilogy by Cococucumber.
The game developers Cococucumber have released a trailer for the game, and by all accounts, it looks exceptional in its theme centered on the iconic voxel aesthetic. The game is rendered in stunning 4K resolution and supports 60fps out of the box.
The plot revolves around Kira, a young girl who has recently moved into a new house in the countryside that was previously occupied by one of their distant relatives. The house has been abandoned since the relative went missing. Kira, being a curious young lady, goes out to search the dusty barn of the house, where she stumbles through a mirror and enters a magical dimension.
Kira is taken aback when she first enters the world, which is filled with strange characters and menacing monsters, but soon after, she takes the mantle of Ravenlok and embarks on a thrilling adventure to save the fallen Realm of Dunia from the clutches of a tyrant queen.
Now it falls on her shoulders to eradicate the rot that threatens the land of Dunia. Kira, equipped with a shield and sword, has to fight her way through the evils. She will stop at the Masked Mansion and the Dark Labyrinth to hone her combat skills and learn new tricks. Finally, after traversing most of the magical world, she will encounter the evil queen, which will be her time to shine. Kira must defeat the queen to restore peace to the Realm of Dunia.
Vanessa Chia, producer, and director at Cococucumber, stated about Ravenlock:
Through this fable about the fight for a creative life, we hope that the adventures of Ravenlok can bring a sense of escapism and joy to all.
