Every month, PS Plus fans are treated to free games, and earlier today, PlayStation confirmed the three games players would receive next month with their PlayStation Plus subscription. These three games are Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Fallout 76, and Axiom Verge 2.
The highlight of this lineup seems to be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It’s a perfect time to get in the game, as the sequel, Jedi Survivor, had its release date confirmed recently. Fallen Order is a third-person action-adventure video game in the Star Wars universe. It focuses on the protagonist Cal Kestis and his loyal sidekick, BD-1. Cal is one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy; as such, he must repeatedly escape from the Empire’s clutches.
Next up on the list is Fallout 76. It was released four years ago and is an MMO first-person shooter in the Fallout universe. The game was originally paned at launch as it was said to have very little content and was full of bugs, but thankfully, that’s no longer the case. Bethesda has supported the game for four years, fixing many bugs and adding new content. It’s an excellent time to get into the game, as there’s an ongoing Holiday Event happening right now.
Lastly, there’s Axiom Verge 2. Released in 2022, it’s a Metroidvania game developed by indie studio Thomas Happ Games. It’s a 2D sidescroller, and the gameplay borrows elements from Contra and Metroid. The game’s plot revolves around a billionaire called Indra Chaudhari, who is told to go to Antarctica if she wants to find her daughter.
These three games will always be available to Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers. As for December’s games, players only have until January 2nd to download them. Meanwhile, from January 3rd, subscribers will be available to install the three new games that were revealed today.
