Need For Speed Unbound Trailer, titled “Risk and Reward,” gives us a better glimpse of the upcoming racing game’s gameplay and mechanics. The trailer also gives a better look at the unique art style of Need for Speed Unbound, which is something the franchise has never done before.
Players will now have the option to place side bets against Rival Racers, which, along with maximizing their heat, will earn players better rewards during their races.
One of the most exciting things about NFS Unbound is that Criterion Games and Codemasters now handle the game’s development. Criterion Games are the developer behind many of the series’ iconic titles, including Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Most Wanted, Rivals, and along with the Burnout franchise. The Need For Speed franchise has sure hit a slump recently, but there is a genuine reason to be excited about this latest entry.
Perhaps the most striking thing about the new entry is that the game will feature an anime-like art style, which can be turned off if the players wish; it seems like the developers put a huge emphasis on art with NFS Unbound. The game has stunning art direction, and it’s also been confirmed that with the power of next-gen consoles, the game can run at 4K 60fps without any problems using the Frostbite Engine. NFS Unbound was also guaranteed to have an offline single-player campaign and cross-play. The game will also feature rapper A$AP Rocky who will drive a Mercedes 190E.
Need For Speed Unbound will launch on 2nd December 2022 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
