Even though it’s barely a week away, footage of Need for Speed Unbound has surfaced online. Somehow, it seems some fans managed to get their hands on the game early, allowing them to share clips and several videos featuring footage from the unreleased game that have been posted online.
The footage was uploaded to YouTube and currently consists of multiple videos culminating in an hour or so of gameplay. It precedes the December 2nd release date and the Early Access period, which should launch on November 29th. Interestingly, it doesn’t look like the YouTube accounts took the footage, as two videos were uploaded that were clipped from a live stream.
However, EA managed to stop at least one channel from streaming the game early. User movinbass1 shared gameplay clips during a live stream yesterday, but all content has since been removed from their channel for copyright reasons.
While some videos are being taken down, not all have been removed. Meanings fans have gotten a look at a game they shouldn’t be playing until next Tuesday. These clips seem to mostly come from a small Twitch account with almost no information attached to it, making it even more confusing how this early version of the game was made available to play.
While the video quality isn’t as good as the Need For Speed Unbound trailer posted a while ago, it’s enough to keep fans looking forward to releasing day. The consensus seems optimistic, and most like what they see so far. There are a few concerns about the controls, but we will know if they’re justified once players can play the game themselves. At the time of writing, EA has not publicly commented on the leak, and it is unclear whether streamers are violating the embargo or received the retail copies early.
Need For Speed Unbound will release on December 2nd, 2022, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
