Inazuma Eleven is a soccer-based media franchise created by Level-5 Games. The franchise began in 2008 with the first game for the Nintendo DS. Localized in Japan in 2008 and was localized in 2011, and the Nintendo 3DS port was released as a downloadable version in 2014. The port has updated graphics and visuals and is the first and only game in the series available in North America. The game series sold over 8 million units worldwide in 2016, and in addition to video games, the franchise has a manga series and several other animated television series.

Level 5 Games is developing the next game in the franchise, “Great Road of Heroes.” The game’s been developing for a few years, leaving many fans excited for the future. Today, the company released a new update on the game; this post follows the last update in July. Today’s update includes details about the game’s system, gameplay, story, and more. From now on, Level-5 Games intends to release the information in stages.

The previous games in the franchise used a touch pen game system. Although Level-5 tried to create a system that resembled a traditional football game, they returned to the original touch pen control because they felt it was the most natural. The company has implemented a freestyle play mechanic, which means the game can be played freely or with a pen, finger, or gamepad at a horizontal or vertical position. The game looks like it will be fun, and the project seems to have overcome a big obstacle.

Another piece of information shared today is adding a previously unseen new character to the game, as shown in an illustration. Level-5 Games have not revealed his name, but they say he is one of the best players in football, and it looks like he will be heavily involved in the story of the game. Lastly, the developers have stated that they’ll reveal the next bit of info in February 2023.

Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes will release in 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.
