Hitman Patch Notes Out For World Of Assassination

Hitman 3 was changed to Hitman – World Of Assassination at the start of the year, including content from previous Hitman games. Today the first-ever patch notes for Hitman – World Of Assassination have been announced along with a new single-player mode, Hitman Freelancer.

This new version, 3.140, will release tonight and can be updated on all platforms PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Switch. According to IO Interactive, the patch size will vary from 1.5 GB to 8 GB, depending on your platform. Only Switch users will get the game pre-updated after the maintenance is finished. Without further ado, let’s update you with all the new content the game will offer.

Hitman 3 Patch notes

Hitman Freelancer

Hitman Freelancer is a new single-player game mode set sometime after Hitman 3 epilogue. Agent 47 becomes a free agent, which means you are in control. Create and Customize strategies, travel around different countries, identify and eliminate dangerous villains. Learn more about Hitman Freelancer here.

Nividia DLSS 3

Performance has always been an issue in all Hitman games but not anymore, players can now enjoy support for DLSS Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency. Achieve maximum performance and even higher optimized responsiveness.

Improvement and Changes

The title of the game is changed, so it is necessary to change its naming and branding. The game icon, launcher, loading screen, and in-game hub everything has been changed in accordance with Hitman World Of Assassination and Freelancer. New contracts, mysterious targets, and other fitting content are added in a new “Live” tab. Any Stability issues which cause the game to crash in some areas have also been resolved.

New players will not start their journey from the standard Hitman 3 starting point; instead, they will spawn in ICA Facility to experience World Of Assassination from the beginning.

Run Toggle Revisted

Last year in October, new run/jog/walk toggle mechanics were introduced, and it is now expanded in even more options. Players can toggle run any time, and a new icon is also added to check 47’s current speed. A new press option is also added to keep running without holding any key. If he is already running, nothing will happen after pressing the button. Walking mode is enabled as soon as he is stopped.

Other Changes

Santa Fortuna: Hidden Statue

“Heart of Stone” is a mission story that involves a statue, and apparently, that statue was hidden. Now the issue has been resolved.

Difficulty Difficulties

After saving or loading, the game’s new difficulty level was not implemented. The new Master Difficulty does not include more cameras or NPCs. This bug is now fixed.

Challenge Consistency

An updated menu has been introduced to sort out all the challenges in different tiers with numerical order, for example, Tier 1, Tier 2, etc.

Agent Seventeen

A new updated image with an actual representation of Agent 17 suit pops up after a new challenge unlocks.

Letter Dance

The bug occasionally caused UI letters to dance when making quick movements in the camera or scrolling the map, has been patched.

Ripe For the Picking

Patched the achievement “Ripe For The Picking,” which is supposed to be completed in Mendoza, could be unlocked in Haven Island as well.

Hawke’s Bay Puddle

Visible floating puddles are removed from the beach in Hawke’s Bay.

Tres-Paris-ing

An issue is resolved where 47 was detected, being in permitted disguise while walking through several stairs between the basement and sometimes in the Main hall. This bug was patched sometimes before, but it consistently reproduced for some reason.

Paris Light

After passing the Main Hall, several lighting issues occur in the second room, making it completely dark. Some lights were shut off while others flickered. This lighting issue is now patched.

Mumbai Tower Tragedy

The bug which causes the player to fall out of the map in Mumbai tower is now patched.

Next Level Blend-in

One of Rico’s guards’ bug where he was blended into the wall, is now fixed.

No Climb For You

A bug that allowed Agent 47 to climb a tree near a cocoa plantation to go out of bounds is now fixed.

Instinctive Recording

After using the camera tool in the inventory, a glitch occurred, which would not display security cameras in instinct. It is now fixed.

Camera Conundrum

An issue where Agent 47 couldn’t use the hide menu prompt if he used his camera to take a photo near a door. The hide menu prompt is now revamped to fix this issue.

Miami Money

An issue that caused NPCs to start walking above small walls or sometimes in the underpass is now resolved.

Sapienza’s Second Saviour

The main target, ‘The Prince,’ would be able to hide in the same spot as Agent 47 due to a bug. Well now he has his own place to hide.

Black Almond True SA

An issue where the Black Almond dagger was missing sound effects while attacking NPCs is now fixed.

Hokkaido Stem Cells

An issue that made Stem Cells useless for assassination is now resolved.

The 47th Universe

Hokkaido Spa has been removed as a possible location for NPCs to get sick; instead, a new one has been added outside the spa at the bottom of the ramp.

Glove Powers

An issue where Signature Suit with its gloves in did not get wet in Chongqing rain is resolved.

Invisible Flash Case

An issue where a briefcase bomb exploded and was still functional is now fixed. You can no longer use the briefcase after the explosion.

Legal Trouble

An issue that causes NPCs to mix up lines between Mr. Bravoumo and Mr. Ford while Agent 47 is disguised as a lawyer is now fixed.

Controller Layout

The above-mentioned toggle or hold mechanics are also updated on the controller layout for players to choose one.

Sniper Timer Trouble

A visual issue where the score screen would display 00:00 but shown correctly on the leaderboard is now fixed for both sides.

Apron Adjustment

Another visual bug that made aprons blend in with the character model is now fixed.

Rocky Terrain

An issue in Ambrose that cause NPCs to clip with the chair when picking up a magazine is now fixed.

Missing AI Dialogue

Some dialogues for guards in Ambrose were missing when they detected Agent 47, a robotic voice was triggered instead of the original one. This issue is now patched.

Double Wetsuits

Fixed a bug where players could see 2 identical versions of the Guerilla wetsuit.

Barrel Shadows

An issue that caused some shadows to appear unrealistically in Ambrose is now patched.

Last Stop

Now, if you kick a NPC off the train in the Carpathian Mountains, it doesn’t count as a kill; hence Agent 47 wasn’t detected, but now it is patched and will count as a kill.

Casual Dental hygiene

The delicious bubble queen gun pack was considered an illegal item in casual difficulty; it is now fixed. Enjoy chewing your bubble.

Exploit with particles and muffins.

Muffins are a powerful tool and were being used in exploits, especially to do speed runs. It is now patched.

Known Issues and Bug Reports

The Hitman developer team will now be fully active in listening to feedback and fixing any issue encountered to provide a bug-free enjoyable game.
