The Infection mode has been a staple in the Halo franchise ever since the release of Halo 3. In fact, it is the Infection mode that has kept gamers intrigued in the Halo franchise by introducing custom games and maps over the years.
However, when Halo Infinite was released back in 2021, it lacked some key features that had become the Halo franchise’s identification, such as the Forge mode. A negative response from fans forced them to reconsider the exclusion of Forge mode, which was added to the game at the end of the year 2022 in an update in the month of November.
Nonetheless, Infection mode was nowhere in the scene, but there was such a demand for it that players created it using Halo Infinite’s Forge. However, it appears to be coming to an end, as a recent Halo Infinite leak showcases voice lines for an upcoming Infection game.
The Halo Leaks on YouTubel have posted a video with vocals for the upcoming Infection game mode. The clips from leaks feature Jeff Steitzer’s iconic announcer. For those who are unaware, Jeff Steitzer has voiced the multiplayer since Halo Combat Evolved in 2001.
The video also features voice lines from the Banished’s Iratus, implying that the announcer will vary depending on the team you’re on. The presence of Iratus, comes as no surprise, as it was hinted teased in a previous leak about the Halo Infinite Season 3.
There is no concrete evidence as to when the developers will add the iconic Infection mode narrated by Jeff Steitzer to the Halo Infinite, but it appears to be imminent.
