Fortnite is known for its various crossovers with other franchises and, at this point, is literally a virtual billboard, and it seems like they aren’t stopping any time soon! In the lead-up to the release of Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 Remake next Friday, Fortnite has added the Racoon City Survivors bundle, which features Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield.
Joining Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil, Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield will now include skin bundles in Fortnite. Leon Kennedy will appear in generic tactical gear, wielding his combat knife as a pickaxe. Whereas, Claire Redfield wears her iconic Resident Evil 2 red leather jacket and comes equipped with an Umbrella Corporation-themed glider.
The bundle also features two Back Blings, including the iconic Attache Case from Resident Evil 4 and the R.P.D. Keys from Resident Evil 2. The entire package costs around 2,100 V-Bucks.
Furthermore, Leon with the Attaché Case, Claire with the Keys, and the two pickaxes can be purchased separately for a hefty 4,000 V-Bucks. Just to provide a rough estimate, a pack of 2,800 V-Bucks will set you back £15.99 / $19.99 / AU$30.35 in real money.
This all appears to be on track, but not if you’re a Resident Evil veteran. If you’ve ever played Resident Evil, you’ll notice that Leon Kennedy is missing his iconic jacket. The fans do not take this lack of fashion drip lightly; they believe this is no justice for Kennedy, who is known for dropping the best fits in the franchise.
Epic games are under the pump by fans, for they have misunderstood Leon’s knack for fashion. A Reddit User, while commenting on Kennedy in a Subreddit, stated:
A random Ramirez skin can get a jacket but Leon doesn’t for some reason, also where is his R.P.D style?
